Rapper DMX turned himself in to authorities Thursday in Manhattan to face federal tax evasion charges.

The 46-year-old DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, is accused of “engaging in a multi-year scheme to conceal millions of dollars of income from the IRS and to avoid paying $ 1.7 million of tax liabilities,” according to the Southern District of New York’s branch of the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
